Philodendron cordatum - 6" HB
The Philodendron cordatum (commonly called the Heartleaf Philodendron) is an incredibly resilient, tropical vining plant native to Brazil. It is famous for its dark green, heart-shaped leaves and trailing vines, making it a perfect, low-maintenance houseplant for hanging baskets, bookshelves, or climbing up a trellis.
Key Care Requirements
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light but adapts beautifully to low-to-medium light. Direct sun will scorch the leaves.
Water: Allow the top 2 to 3 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. It is quite drought-tolerant, but be careful not to let it sit in soggy soil to avoid root rot.
Temperature: Enjoys average indoor temperatures between 65°F and 80°F. Keep away from drafty windows or air conditioning vents.
Soil & Fertilizer: Use a loose, well-draining potting mix. Feed lightly with balanced, liquid houseplant fertilizer once a month during the spring and summer.
